Niagara District Airport Commission

The Niagara District Airport Commission manages the municipal airport within the boundaries of Niagara On The Lake. It is supported financially by the City of St. Catharines, City of Niagara Falls and the Town of Niagara On The Lake.  The Manager of the airport is appointed by the Commission being comprised of six members, nominated by the individual municipalities as well as three Councillors, representing each of the municipalities, appointed for the term of Council.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for establishing the strategic direction and operating policies of the airport while developing and overseeing an annual budget.
• Continue to develop the airport  with special emphasis on tourism related flying, flight training and executive/charter flying.
• To recognize and promote the vision for the airport as part of a peninsula based, inter-model, rapid freight, transportation infrastructure.
