Stray Theatre

Stray Theatre is an informal collective of theatre workers who have been presenting plays periodically in downtown St. Catharines over the last ten years, plays from the modern world theatre repertory: by Samuel Beckett, Eugene Ionesco, Edward Albee, Joe Orton, Sam Shepard, Harold Pinter, Yasmina Reza, Marius von Mayenburg, and Canadian writers Jason Sherman and George F. Walker. Most members of Stray Theatre come from The Department of Dramatic Arts at Brock University where they were students or instructors. Serious about their craft and love of good plays, Stray Theatre currently produce at The Sullivan-Mahoney Court House Theatre as a member of the Downtown Alliance for the Performing Arts (DAPA), where they continue presenting work which challenges them to grow as artists, affirms drama which tells the truth about the human condition, and upholds theatre's power in reinforcing a sense of community.
